摘要:In this paper we propose empirical likelihood methods based on influence function and jackknife techniques for constructing confidence intervals for mean medical cost with censored data. We conduct a simulation study to compare the coverage probabilities and interval lengths of our proposed confidence intervals with that of the existing normal approximation-based confidence intervals and bootstrap confidence intervals. The proposed methods have better finite-sample performances than existing methods. Finally, we illustrate our proposed methods with a relevant example.
報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介:秦更生,美國(guó)佐治亞州立大學(xué)(Georgia State University)數(shù)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計(jì)系教授。他是美國(guó)統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)、數(shù)理統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)、加拿大統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)等學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員,曾任《Statistics & Probability Letters》副主編,目前擔(dān)任統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)雜志《Open Journal of Statistics》、《Statistics Research Letters》、《Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine》等期刊編委。主要研究方向?yàn)樯锝y(tǒng)計(jì)和數(shù)理統(tǒng)計(jì),其中包括生存分析、時(shí)間序列、經(jīng)驗(yàn)似然方法等,發(fā)表論文60余篇,取得了多項(xiàng)創(chuàng)新性成果發(fā)表在《Bernoulli 》、《Biometrics 》、《The Canadian Journal of Statistics》在內(nèi)的多個(gè)世界一流統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)期刊上。
