報告摘要：We give a new approach to compute irreducible characters of the general linear group over the finite field. The vertex algebraic method enhanced Green's theory and we realized the Hall algebra using two Fock spaces corresponding to extensions of Galois fields and their duals. As a result, a general formula of character values is obtained.
報告人簡介：景乃桓，美國北卡州立大學(xué)終身教授。曾獲國家杰出青年基金(B)，長江學(xué)者講座教授，德國洪堡研究基金，美國富爾布萊特學(xué)者等榮譽(yù)。在耶魯大學(xué)獲博士學(xué)位后，曾在美國普林斯頓高等研究院、密西根大學(xué)、堪薩斯大學(xué)等任教或從事研究工作。作為客座教授多次訪問美國伯克利數(shù)學(xué)研究所、德國波恩馬普數(shù)學(xué)研究所、德國萊比錫馬普應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)所等數(shù)學(xué)中心。主要研究方向?yàn)楸硎菊?，量子群、頂點(diǎn)算子代數(shù)、代數(shù)組合和量子計算等。在 Invent. Math, Duke Math. J., Comm. Math. Phys, Adv. Math等國際著名期刊上發(fā)表多篇高水平論文。
